Nwar Shar Yoe’s new middle school doubles as a Rural Health Center

Nwar Shar Yoe’s middle school which will be officially opened in March 17′ has already been put to use as a treatment center for cataract sufferers. In January, 220 mostly elderly villagers made their way from 15 separate outlying villages to Nwar Shar Yoe school in Myittha township where they were treated by 20 doctors and 42 medical students. Had it not been for this new school, the doctors said that it would not have been possible to come to treat the patients as there were no other buildings in the area that were suitable enough to allow them to work under the necessary proper sanitary conditions.
