Relief Aid

On May 2nd 2008 the cyclone Nargis struck the west coast of Myanmar and devastated the Ayerwaddy delta and Yangon leaving a final toll of over 200,000  dead or missing. Our schools in the delta were transformed overnight into relief centers for families who had lost everything including, in many cases, their own family members. Thanks to some emergency donations that we received, we were able to  provide hundreds of displaced adults and children with shelter and the basics necessities for survival. Most of these families eventually returned to what used to be their homes. However, a few families have stayed on and rebuilt their lives here near the schools.
