Depending on how remote and accessible the school site is, it costs between $12 to $14 per square foot to build a strong earthquake and flood resistant school, one which includes a proper toilet for each 50 students. This means the cost ranges from $36,000 for a primary school up to $51,000 to build a single story high school.
